Teen claims his search engine is 47% more accurate than Google

I don’t even remember the last time i searched for something on something other than Google honestly. Google is so embedded in our minds that we tend to forget other search engines out there, and there’s a reason for that: Accuracy. Google’s ability to learn and predict is so advanced, it has become a standard in search engines choice.

But now, a sixteen-year old Indian from Canada claims that he created a search engine that is 47% more accurate than that of Google’s. Anmol Tukrel, claims that his search engine is superior to google as it has the ability to analyze the user’s personality, giving it the ability to display more accurate results.

I thought I would do something in the personalised search space. It was the most genius thing ever. But when I realised Google already does it, I tried taking it to the next level, said Turkel.

Tukrel completed tenth grade and said he has spent a couple of months to design it, and about 60 hours to code the engine. The project is part of a submission into Google Science Fair, a global online competition open to students aged 13 to 18 years.
