The evolution of mobile typing is not having to type much, but rather have the keyboard understand what you’re trying to say and predicts your sentences for you. If this sounds creepy, that’s because it is — using neural networks for predictions instead of the n-gram model, the new SwiftKey keyboard trains itself to understand how you think.
To simplify the process, SwiftKey has produced an infographic, which explains the difference between the two models. In a nutshell, the n-gram models predicts the next word based on the last two words, whereas the neural network model understands the context of the whole sentence.

If you’re eager to try the keyboard, head over to the Google Play store and give it a spin. Let us know what you think in the comments.
