Google is up to something – a new means of communications codenamed “Copresence” that allows you to share photos, files and data with other devices nearby, regardless of whether these devices run iOS or android. This is done over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.Details of how this works is in a patent that has been granted and the API has been spotted in the Chrome Dev Channel.
Google hasn’t confirmed the existence of the technology yet, but we are looking forward to its potential.
