Meta has further integrated its social media ecosystem by allowing users to cross-post content directly from Instagram and Facebook to Threads. This feature expands the sharing possibilities beyond the previous limitation of only being able to share from Threads to Instagram.
While currently limited to still images (Reels support is not yet available), this opt-in feature gives users greater control over their content distribution. Captions and hashtags are seamlessly converted for Threads posts, ensuring a smooth transition. You can choose to share individually or enable automatic cross-posting in Advanced settings, providing flexibility in how your content is shared across platforms.
To cross-post on Instagram, simply toggle the new Threads option when creating a post. On Facebook, you’ll find the Threads toggle alongside other privacy settings when composing a new text or link post. This straightforward process makes it easy for users to share their content across multiple platforms with minimal effort.
This new feature is rolling out globally to iOS and Android users, making it more convenient for users to manage their social media presence across Meta’s platforms.
