Threads, is officially rolling out its “Trending Now” feature to all users in the U.S. This feature, previously in testing with select users, displays timely topics of conversation popular within the Threads community. You’ll find these trends both on the search page and in your For You Feed.
“It’s an easy way to see what others are talking about on Threads,” said Instagram head Adam Mosseri in a Threads post announcing the launch.
How It Works
Meta’s AI system determines trending topics based on what Threads users are engaging with on the platform. It considers factors like the volume of discussion around a topic and the number of users interacting with content related to it. Currently, Threads displays a maximum of five trends at a time, possibly to enhance safety and reduce spam.
