Sony is releasing a limited edition DualSense controller for PlayStation 5, inspired by the beloved Astro Bot character.Featuring a Dual Speeder spaceship design in Astro’s signature blue and white color scheme, the controller also showcases Astro’s eye on the touchpad alongside futuristic lines.

Priced at $79.99, pre-orders for the Astro Bot controller will begin on August 9th, 2024, with limited availability in select regions including the US, UK, and several European countries. The controller is set to launch on September 6th, 2024,alongside the highly anticipated PS5 exclusive Astro Bot game.

The Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense controller aims to provide a more immersive gaming experience by incorporating haptic feedback and adaptive triggers to simulate various textures like water, sand, and grass. This innovative feature complements the gameplay of Astro Bot, the successor to 2020’s Astro’s Playroom, which boasts 80 levels across six galaxies and 50 planets.
