Samsung’s Galaxy AI heads to mid-range A-series, but with a twist

Samsung’s AI assistant, Galaxy AI, is expanding its reach beyond the premium Galaxy S series. According to SamMobile, the tech giant is bringing this intelligent feature to select mid-range Galaxy A series smartphones. This expansion is expected to coincide with the release of the OneUI 6.1.1 update in the coming months.

While this news is undoubtedly exciting for owners of mid-range Galaxy devices, it’s essential to temper expectations. Due to the inherent performance differences between flagship and mid-range hardware, not all Galaxy AI features will be available on the A series. Similar to the Galaxy S23 FE, which already boasts Galaxy AI but lacks the advanced Instant Slow-Mo feature found on its more powerful siblings, certain functionalities might be sacrificed to optimize performance on the less robust hardware.

At this stage, the specific Galaxy A models slated to receive the Galaxy AI update remain undisclosed. While it’s reasonable to assume that the latest A series releases will be included, the availability of the feature on older models is uncertain.

Despite these limitations, the introduction of Galaxy AI to the mid-range segment represents a significant step forward for Samsung. By democratizing access to cutting-edge AI technology, the company is empowering a broader user base to experience the benefits of intelligent assistance.
