Samsung has partnered with SEGA to launch a series of microSD cards featuring designs inspired by popular characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. The cards come in various storage capacities, each featuring a different character: Knuckles (128GB), Tails (256GB), Sonic (512GB), and Shadow (1TB).

The Sonic the Hedgehog PRO Plus microSD cards offer read and write speeds of up to 180 MB/s and 130 MB/s, respectively. The 1TB card can store a significant amount of data, including over 47 hours of 4K UHD video.

Samsung emphasizes the cards’ durability, stating they have been tested against various conditions, including water, high temperatures, X-rays, and magnetic fields. They can also withstand drops from over 16 feet and resist wear from up to 10,000 swipes.

The Sonic the Hedgehog PRO Plus microSD cards will be available for purchase starting in January 2025, with prices ranging from $24 for the 128GB card to $126 for the 1TB card.
