Opera One lands on iOS: a revamped, AI-powered browsing experience

Opera’s much-anticipated redesigned browser, Opera One, has finally arrived on iOS, graduating from its beta phase to a full-fledged release. This fresh take on the browser features a bottom-placed search bar, speedy search suggestions, and the integrated Aria AI assistant.

Streamlined Navigation and Smarter Search

The bottom search bar makes one-handed browsing a breeze, while quick search suggestions appear as you type, accelerating your journey to the information you seek. Although the bottom bar is the default, you can switch to a classic top bar or a Fast Action Button layout. And if you miss the familiar Spotlight search gesture, simply swipe down to summon the search bar.

Opera One also injects its own AI-powered autocomplete options into the mix, displayed in handy chipsets beneath the search box. These suggestions promise to further expedite your searches.

Visual Enhancements and Personalized Content

The browser has undergone a subtle visual makeover as well. As you scroll through a webpage, the bottom and top bars gracefully disappear, providing an immersive full-screen view. Plus, the top status bar now dynamically adapts its color to match the website’s theme.

Opera has also replaced its traditional newsfeed with a dynamic carousel view. This personalized feed offers a mix of news tailored to your interests, live sports scores, and product recommendations.

Aria AI Assistant Gets a Boost

Opera’s AI assistant, Aria, debuted in May 2023 and made its way to iOS in August of the same year. With the Opera One release, Aria is even more powerful, now supporting voice input and image generation capabilities.

With its fresh design, AI-powered features, and growing user base, Opera One is poised to make a splash in the iOS browser market. If you’re an iPhone user looking for a smarter, more intuitive browsing experience, Opera One might just be the perfect upgrade.
