OnePlus has announced that its upcoming flagship smartphones, the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro, will launch on December 26th. The company has revealed some key details about the devices, including their processors and battery technology.
The OnePlus Ace 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Ace 5 Pro will feature the even more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite. OnePlus claims that the Ace 5’s performance will be so impressive that the chipset will feel like a “Gen 3.5.”
Both phones will incorporate OnePlus’s new Glacier Battery Technology, which utilizes a thinner silicon carbide battery to increase capacity while maintaining a slim profile.
While detailed specifications are yet to be released, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to share many similarities, including a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display, a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens, and a 2MP macro lens.
The Ace 5 Pro is rumored to have a 6,100 mAh battery, while the Ace 5 may offer an even larger capacity.
