HMD Global, the company behind Nokia-branded smartphones, has commenced its Android 15 rollout, starting with the HMD Pulse Pro. This update, weighing in at 3.12 GB, is now making its way to Pulse Pro devices globally and brings with it the December 2024 security patch.
While HMD has been somewhat reticent about its Android 15 roadmap, a few devices have been confirmed to receive the update. These include the Nokia G42 5G, Nokia G60 5G, Nokia XR21 5G, Nokia X30 5G, and several other HMD-branded phones and tablets.
The Android 15 update for the HMD Pulse Pro promises a range of enhancements. Users can expect a noticeable performance boost, improvements to privacy and security, adaptive battery optimizations for extended battery life, and more advanced notification controls.
As is typical with major Android updates, the rollout is likely to occur in phases. It may take several weeks for all eligible HMD Pulse Pro devices to receive the update.
While the HMD Pulse Pro is the first to receive Android 15, it’s anticipated that other devices on the confirmed list will also be updated in due course. However, it’s possible that some of these updates may not arrive until 2025.
HMD’s commitment to providing the latest Android updates to its devices underscores its dedication to user experience and device longevity. The Android 15 update brings a host of new features and improvements that will enhance the overall user experience on the HMD Pulse Pro.
