Following numerous leaks and speculations, GoPro has officially announced that its latest action cameras will be revealed on September 4th. The company confirmed the news via a teaser video on its social media, highlighting the upcoming Hero and Hero 13 Black models.

Adding fuel to the excitement, a leaked hands-on video surfaced recently, offering a sneak peek at the Hero 13 Black’s design. The video showcases a familiar layout, with a front-mounted display prominently displaying the “13 BLACK” branding, along with the traditional Power/Mode button positioned beside the camera sensor and heatsink.

While the official launch is imminent, leaks suggest the Hero 13 Black will maintain the same 27MP sensor and video capabilities as its predecessor, offering 5.3K at 60 FPS and 4K at 120 FPS recording. HyperSmooth 6.0 image stabilization and HDR features are also expected to remain.

The standout upgrade appears to be a larger 1,900 mAh battery, replacing the previous 1,720 mAh unit. Furthermore,GoPro is likely to expand its accessory line-up with new additions like a macro lens, an ultra-wide lens, a Floaty accessory, and a protective sleeve.

Details surrounding the second GoPro camera remain scarce, although it’s speculated to be a successor to the GoPro 11 Mini, potentially offering HyperSmooth stabilization and slow-motion video capabilities.

With the official launch just around the corner, enthusiasts won’t have to wait long for full details on both Hero action cameras. Whether September 4th marks the actual release date or just an unveiling remains to be seen.
