Google’s powerful AI chatbot, Gemini, is getting even more versatile. The latest update allows users with a Gemini Advanced subscription to upload and analyze files directly from their iOS or Android devices. This feature, previously available only on the desktop version, significantly expands Gemini’s functionality on mobile.

Now, Gemini Advanced subscribers can easily tap into the AI’s capabilities while on the go. Whether you need to summarize a lengthy report, extract key data from a spreadsheet, or simply get a quick overview of a document, Gemini can handle it all, right from your phone.

Supported file types include standard text documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, and even Google Docs. Users can upload up to ten files at a time, with each file having a maximum size of 100 MB.

This enhancement is a welcome addition for Gemini Advanced subscribers who rely on their mobile devices for work and productivity. No longer do they need to switch to a desktop to leverage Gemini’s file analysis capabilities.

However, it’s important to note that this feature remains exclusive to Gemini Advanced, which comes with a $20 monthly subscription fee after a free trial. Alongside file uploads, the premium tier offers access to the advanced 1.5 Pro model, early access to new features, Workspace integration, and ample cloud storage.

This update highlights Google’s ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI assistance and making powerful tools like Gemini accessible across different platforms.
