Bowers & Wilkins has unveiled a major refresh of its wireless earbuds lineup with the introduction of the completely redesigned Pi8 and Pi6 models. Departing from the design of their predecessors, these earbuds promise improved comfort, enhanced noise cancellation, and, in the case of the flagship Pi8, support for aptX Lossless audio.
New Design, Improved Features
The revamped design, as sported by brand ambassador David Beckham, aims to enhance comfort while also optimizing microphone placement for superior noise cancellation and voice clarity. Improved wear detection and an additional ear tip for extra small ears further enhance the user experience.

Internal upgrades include enhanced TrueWireless Bluetooth mirroring for a more robust connection between the left and right earbuds. The Pi8 buds also boast an extended battery life of up to 6.5 hours, with the case providing an additional 13.5 hours for a total of 20 hours of playback time.
High-Fidelity Audio with aptX Lossless
The Pi8 now supports aptX Lossless (16-bit / 44.1k) in addition to aptX Adaptive and Classic, ensuring high-fidelity audio transmission. Coupled with the 12mm carbon cone drivers in each earbud, listeners can expect an exceptional audio experience.

Pi6: A More Affordable Option
The Pi6 earbuds, while visually similar to the Pi8, offer a slightly scaled-down feature set. They lack aptX Lossless support but still feature 12mm bio-cellulose drivers and aptX Adaptive compatibility. The Pi6 also boasts an impressive battery life of 8 hours, extending to 24 hours with the charging case.

Pricing and Availability
The Bowers & Wilkins Pi6 will be available from September 15th in various colors, priced at $249. The flagship Pi8 is available for pre-order now, with shipping expected from August 28th, 2024. It comes in a range of colors and is priced at $399.
Bowers & Wilkins’ latest earbuds showcase a significant redesign and a focus on improved comfort, noise cancellation, and audio quality. The addition of aptX Lossless support in the Pi8 makes them an attractive option for audiophiles, while the Pi6 offers a more affordable alternative without compromising on essential features.
