Bluesky has launched a beta version of its trending topics feature, available on both desktop and mobile apps. The feature currently supports only English-language topics and can be disabled in the app’s settings.
Trending topics appear on the right sidebar of the desktop app and are accessible through the search button on mobile apps. Users’ muted words and phrases are also applied to trending topics, ensuring a personalized experience.
Bluesky, which boasts over 25 million users, plans to refine the feature based on user feedback. While third-party Bluesky clients have already implemented trending topics, this marks the first official version from Bluesky itself.
Unlike rival Threads, which has been gradually rolling out trending topics in specific regions, Bluesky’s beta test is available globally.
