Apple has expanded its Look Around feature to the web version of Apple Maps. Look Around, Apple’s counterpart to Google Street View, provides immersive 360-degree views of various locations, allowing users to virtually explore cities and landmarks.
Previously only available within the Apple Maps app, Look Around can now be accessed through the beta version of Apple Maps on the web. Users can simply click on the binocular icon on the map to activate the feature and begin exploring.
Currently, Look Around coverage includes select cities in the US, Japan, and several European Union countries. Apple has indicated its intention to expand the feature’s availability to more cities, rural areas, and countries in the future.
The web version of Apple Maps was initially launched in July with limited features and device compatibility. The addition of Look Around marks a significant step in expanding the platform’s capabilities and providing a more comprehensive mapping experience on the web.
