Android Auto’s music player has received a significant redesign in the latest Android Auto 13.4 update. This refresh brings a more modern look and improved usability to the platform’s audio controls.
The updated music player features a new layout with album art moved to the left and the track progress bar positioned beside it. The text has been reduced in size, and buttons have been rearranged to utilize the full display width.
In addition to the layout changes, the update introduces a new font for Android Auto, enhancing the overall aesthetic. This new design will be applied to all audio apps on the platform, ensuring a consistent user experience.
Some speculate that this update could be a precursor to Google’s “Car Media” update, which is rumored to enable local media playback, including radio stations, within Android Auto.
