WhatsApp is releasing a new feature that many users have been eagerly awaiting: “Message Drafts.” This update allows users to save unfinished or unsent messages within a chat thread, preventing the frustration of losing a message due to interruptions or distractions.
With this new feature, a green “Draft” indicator will appear at the top of your Chats view, signaling that a chat contains an unsent message. The indicator will also include a preview of the drafted message. Additionally, chats with drafts will be moved to the top of your chat list for easy access.

This functionality is similar to what’s offered in other messaging platforms like Google Messages, providing a more user-friendly and intuitive texting experience. Users can expect to see their drafted message automatically appear in the text field when they return to the chat.
The “Message Drafts” feature arrives shortly after WhatsApp introduced its customizable Lists feature, which allows users to categorize their chats with personalized tags for better organization.
This latest update demonstrates WhatsApp’s ongoing efforts to enhance its platform with user-friendly features and improved functionality.
