TikTok has announced the expansion of its “Add to Music app” feature, enabling users globally to swiftly save songs from videos directly into their music streaming service of choice, including Apple Music and Spotify. Initially limited to users in the US and UK, this feature is now reaching a broader audience, marking a significant step in TikTok’s efforts to enhance user experience and integrate more seamlessly with other music platforms. The latest update sees the feature available in over 160 countries worldwide.
When users encounter a TikTok video with background music that catches their attention, they can now simply tap the “Add Music” button to add the song to their personal music library. The song is then saved to a default playlist in the selected music streaming service, though users have the option to add the track to a new or existing playlist of their choice. This feature aims at simplifying the process of music discovery and collection, enriching the overall user experience on TikTok.
