Spotify has launched a new “Recents” feature that provides users with an expanded view of their listening history, encompassing music, podcasts, and audiobooks. This new page replaces the previous “Listening History” tab and offers a comprehensive overview of content consumed within the past 90 days.
Accessible through the user profile sidebar or by scrolling through the home feed, “Recents” presents a chronological list of listened content, along with filters to help users quickly locate specific items. This feature aims to address the common frustration of losing track of a captivating podcast, rediscovering a catchy song, or remembering a saved album or audiobook.
The “Recents” page is available to both free and Premium Spotify subscribers and is rolling out now for iOS and Android devices. While the global rollout may take some time, this new feature promises to enhance the user experience by providing a convenient way to revisit and rediscover content within the Spotify app.
This update follows a series of recent improvements to the Spotify platform, including enhanced audiobook tools, an in-app cover art maker for playlists, and a significant push towards profitability. With a growing user base and strong financial performance, Spotify continues to evolve its offerings and solidify its position as a leading music and audio streaming service.
