Samsung unveiled its Generative AI model called Samsung Gauss at the Samsung AI Forum 2023 event held in Seoul, South Korea. Samsung’s new Generative AI Model is named after mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss, who established the Normal Distribution Theory (also know as the bell curve), which is now considered the foundation AI and ML.
The company said that Gauss was developed by Samsung Research and is currently being used and tested internally, but will be expanded to its product lines in the near future, including the next Galaxy S24 series, which is expected to launch in January 2024.
Samsung Gauss consists of Samsung Gauss Language, Samsung Gauss Code, and Samsung Gauss Image.
Samsung Gauss Language is a model is designed to enhance tasks such as writing emails, translating, and offer smart devices controls when applied to products.
Samsung Gauss Code is a model that specializes in code languages, and software development.
Samsung Gauss Image is a model which helps create and edit images, resolutions and styles.
