The UAE is taking strides in artificial intelligence education, and Samsung is playing a key role. The tech giant recently celebrated the graduation of its first cohort from the Galaxy AI Pioneers program. This initiative, launched in partnership with the National Program for Coders and Coders HQ, is designed to equip young minds with the skills needed to thrive in an AI-driven world.

The program, which ran for three months, saw 49 students between the ages of 12 and 17 delve into the world of AI. The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, from the fundamentals of AI to the intricacies of Python programming and machine learning. Importantly, the program also emphasized the ethical considerations surrounding AI development and deployment, ensuring these future innovators are equipped to navigate the complex landscape of responsible technology.

The graduation ceremony, held at SmartThings Home Dubai, was a testament to the students’ hard work and dedication. Shafi Alam, Director and Head of Direct-to-Consumer Business and Corporate Marketing at Samsung Gulf Electronics, presented the graduates with certificates of completion. The event also served as a platform for the students to showcase their capstone projects, offering a glimpse into the potential of these young minds to contribute to the UAE’s digital transformation.

This program represents a significant investment in the future of AI in the UAE. By empowering the next generation with AI skills, Samsung is helping to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and technological advancement. The Galaxy AI Pioneers program is a promising example of how public-private partnerships can drive meaningful progress in education and technology.
