Al-Futtaim Electric Mobility Company, the official Polestar distributor in the UAE, has unveiled the highly anticipated Polestar 3. This first-ever SUV planned for production on two continents marks a significant milestone in the country’s green mobility efforts and introduces a luxurious, high-performance electric option to the popular SUV segment.
Inspired by the Polestar Precept and Scandinavian minimalism, the Polestar 3 is a 5-seat electric SUV boasting up to 380 kW of power and 910 Nm of torque. It enters the thriving electric SUV market with a distinctive aerodynamic profile that retains classic SUV characteristics while incorporating subtle yet effective optimizations. These include integrated front and rear aero wings, and rear aero blades.
Available at launch with a dual-motor configuration favoring the rear and an optional Performance Pack for more power and torque, the Polestar 3 boasts an 111 kWh battery pack offering a driving range of up to 610km WLTP. Bidirectional charging capability paves the way for future vehicle-to-grid and plug-and-charge functionalities.
Central computing powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE core computer and next-generation advanced active and passive safety technology from Volvo Cars are central to the Polestar 3’s DNA. This includes innovative interior radar sensors detecting sub-millimetre movements to protect against accidentally leaving children or pets inside, linked to the climate control system to prevent heatstroke or hypothermia. Collaborations with Zenseact, Luminar, and Smart Eye provide cutting-edge ADAS technology seamlessly integrated thanks to centralized computing power.
The infotainment system, powered by a next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform from Qualcomm Technologies, delivers an immersive in-vehicle experience. The Android Automotive OS interface features Google built-in, an evolution of the groundbreaking system introduced in the Polestar 2.
Standard equipment includes air suspension, a panoramic glass roof, all-LED lighting, retractable door handles, and 21-inch alloy wheels. Optional Pilot and Performance Packs offer additional features and performance enhancements.
