Nothing Tech has launched its new smartphone series, the Nothing Phone 3(a), in the Middle East, just in time for Eid. The launch event in Dubai showcased the Phone 3(a) and 3(a) Pro, now available across various retailers.

These devices, priced at AED 1,399 for the Phone 3(a) and AED 1,749 for the Phone 3(a) Pro, bring an array of features to the mid-range market. Having spent time with both devices, we can confidently say that we were impressed with their overall performance and design.

READ OUR REVIEW

The Phone 3(a) series presents design refinements, including upgraded glass back panels and improved internal symmetry. The devices also feature an IP64 rating for durability and a focus on reducing carbon footprint.

The camera system in the Phone 3(a) series has been enhanced, featuring a 50MP main sensor, Sony ultra-wide sensor, and optical zoom. The TrueLens Engine 3.0 combines AI and multi-frame technology for improved photography. The Phone 3(a) offers 2x optical zoom and up to 30x AI-enhanced zoom, while the Phone 3(a) Pro features a periscope camera with 3x optical zoom, 60x ultra zoom, and telemacro capabilities. In our review, we found the camera capabilities to be a significant upgrade.

Both models include a 50MP main sensor, with the Phone 3(a) Pro offering faster autofocus and improved performance in various lighting conditions. The devices also feature front-facing cameras for selfies and video recording.

Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, the Phone 3(a) series aims to provide improved AI processing and performance. RAM Booster enables up to 20GB of combined RAM, and a larger vapor chamber is designed to reduce heat. Both models include 5000mAh batteries and support 50W fast charging. Battery life during our tests proved to be very adequate.

The Phone 3(a) and Phone 3(a) Pro feature 6.77-inch displays with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The displays also include a 480Hz touch sampling rate, which increases to 1000Hz in Gaming Mode.

The devices run on Nothing OS 3.1a, based on Android 15, and offer customization options. Software updates will be provided for six years.

Essential Space, an AI-powered hub, is designed for note-taking and content management. The Phone 3a series features an Essential Key for quick access to this feature.
