Netflix enters the word game arena with TED Tumblewords

Netflix is expanding its gaming offerings with the addition of “TED Tumblewords,” a new word puzzle game set to launch on November 19th. Developed in partnership with the non-profit TED organization, this mobile game offers a fresh take on the popular word puzzle format.

In TED Tumblewords, players are presented with a 3×3 grid of letters. The objective is to create words by moving and rotating the letters within the grid. The game offers three daily puzzles, allowing players to test their word-forming skills and climb the Netflix Daily Ladder. For a more competitive experience, players can also engage in turn-based matches against friends.

True to the TED brand, the game incorporates a focus on science and health topics. This thematic approach aims to provide an educational element alongside the entertainment value of the game.

TED Tumblewords will be available on both iOS and Android devices. As a Netflix exclusive, the game requires a Netflix subscription to play. However, it will be ad-free and without any in-app purchases or additional fees. Those eager to try the game can pre-register to gain access as soon as it becomes available.

The launch of TED Tumblewords further demonstrates Netflix’s commitment to expanding its gaming library. By offering a diverse range of mobile games, Netflix aims to provide added value to its subscribers and cater to a wider audience. With its unique gameplay and focus on science and health, TED Tumblewords has the potential to become a popular addition to the mobile gaming landscape.
