LG announces 2025 OLED evo TVs with brighter displays, and advanced gaming features

LG Electronics has introduced its 2025 OLED evo lineup. This new series boasts a range of impressive features, highlighted by the world’s first truly wireless OLED evo M5 model and the exceptional OLED evo G5 models.

At the heart of these TVs lies LG’s advanced α (Alpha) 11 AI processor Gen21. This powerful processor drives the stunning picture quality that OLED evo TVs are known for, delivering perfect blacks, exceptional brightness, and enhanced image processing capabilities.

One of the most notable advancements in the 2025 OLED evo lineup is the Brightness Booster Ultimate technology. This technology significantly improves light control and boosting algorithms, resulting in a threefold increase in brightness compared to conventional OLED models. This heightened brightness brings out intricate details in both bright and dark scenes, creating a more lifelike and immersive viewing experience.

Beyond brightness, LG OLED evo TVs excel in overall picture quality. They achieve perfect black levels in any lighting environment, ensuring accurate color reproduction and a stable viewing experience. These displays have been recognized by leading testing organizations, including UL Solutions and Intertek, for their exceptional black levels, color accuracy, and color fidelity. Additionally, TÜV Rheinland has certified the TVs for their rapid brightness and color temperature stabilization, ensuring viewers enjoy optimal picture quality the moment they turn on the TV.

A new feature in the 2025 OLED evo 4K TVs is Filmmaker Mode with Ambient Light Compensation. Developed in collaboration with filmmakers, this advanced version of Filmmaker Mode intelligently adjusts the picture settings based on the room’s lighting conditions. This ensures that viewers experience the film as the director intended, regardless of the ambient light.

LG OLED evo TVs have also become a favorite among gamers, and the 2025 lineup takes gaming to the next level. These TVs are equipped with the industry’s first 4K 165Hz Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), certified by both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium. This translates to smoother gameplay with minimal input lag and tear-free, stutter-free visuals, even during fast-paced action sequences. The OLED evo TVs are also the first to receive VESA’s ClearMR 10000 certification, further solidifying their position as the ultimate gaming displays.

The Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen2 not only enhances picture quality but also delivers an immersive audio experience. AI Sound Pro creates virtual 11.1.2 channels of surround sound, adjusting the audio based on the content to provide a rich and tailored listening experience.

LG’s commitment to personalization is evident in the AI-powered features of the 2025 OLED evo TVs. The AI Picture/Sound Wizard analyzes user preferences to customize audio and visual modes, while the AI Remote offers personalized recommendations based on viewing habits. The AI Welcome feature greets users by name, and AI Voice ID recognizes individual voices to switch profiles and suggest relevant content.

Finding content is effortless with AI Search, which uses a Large Language Model (LLM) to understand conversational context and user intent. Integration with Microsoft Copilot further streamlines the search process, allowing users to find and organize information efficiently. The AI Chatbot proactively addresses potential user challenges, and the Generative Image Gallery enables users to create custom backgrounds using voice commands.

The user-friendly webOS interface has been enhanced for a more personalized and streamlined experience. The new home screen is faster and more intuitive, with improved UI and categories. webOS now supports multi-platform integration with the Home Hub, connecting seamlessly with various ecosystems, including ThinQ and Google Home, to control a range of IoT devices. This allows users to manage their entire smart home ecosystem from a single interface on their LG TV. LG also offers the webOS Re:New program, ensuring that users can enjoy the latest TV experience for years to come.

LG has achieved a groundbreaking milestone with the world’s first truly wireless OLED TV, the M5 series. This TV delivers wireless audio and video transmission at up to 144Hz without compromising picture or sound quality. Certified by NVIDIA G-SYNC, the M5 ensures a smooth and immersive gaming experience, even at 4K 144Hz. LG has also extended this wireless technology to its QNED TVs, making this innovative feature accessible to a wider audience.
