Getac has unveiled the next generation of its rugged UX10 and UX10-IP tablets, built for industries where reliability in harsh conditions is as important as performance. The launch, announced in Dubai, brings updated models that meet Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC standards while integrating Intel’s latest AI-ready hardware.

The new UX10 is aimed at sectors such as defence, manufacturing, utilities, public safety, and logistics. Its sibling, the UX10-IP, is tailored for healthcare and emergency services, featuring a sealed, easy-clean design that supports infection control. Both models are powered by Intel’s Core Ultra processors with the AI Boost Neural Processing Unit, delivering up to 48 trillion operations per second. This on-device AI capability allows the tablets to handle real-time analytics and machine learning applications in the field, without needing constant cloud connectivity.

Hardware upgrades include support for up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 2TB of PCIe NVMe storage. The tablets also feature Wi-Fi 7, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports for faster data transfer, and improved battery efficiency with an optional bridge battery for extended mobility. Biometric authentication is supported via Windows Hello, with fingerprint reader options available.

As rugged devices, the UX10 and UX10-IP continue Getac’s focus on durability. They carry MIL-STD-810H and IP66 certifications, withstand drops of up to six feet, and operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -29°C to 63°C. Despite the reinforced build, each weighs just 1.15kg, making them practical for long shifts in the field. A 10.1-inch display rated at 1,000 nits ensures readability under direct sunlight, with a touchscreen that works in rain or while wearing gloves.

The UX10’s flexibility positions it for multiple uses: in defence, its compact form and security features make it suitable for drone operations and intelligence gathering; in manufacturing, its AI capabilities support predictive maintenance and real-time process monitoring; in logistics, it can withstand warehouse and outdoor conditions while integrating with vehicle systems. Meanwhile, the UX10-IP focuses on infection prevention in clinical and emergency settings, with its sealed design allowing frequent disinfection.

According to James Hwang, President of Getac Technology Corporation, the new tablets provide enterprises with a platform to deploy AI in demanding environments. By combining rugged design with Copilot+ PC capabilities, the devices are designed to support proof-of-concept projects and scalable AI applications across multiple industries.

Both the UX10 and UX10-IP will be available starting October 2025.
