Rove Hotels is thrilled to announce its exciting collaboration with Hobby Nation for the inaugural “Rove’s Geek Community Day,” an alternative way to celebrate the spooky season this Halloween. This free event promises to unite diverse communities under one roof to celebrate all things geek, from beloved pop culture icons to video games, tabletop adventures, and collectables.
Taking place on Saturday, October 28th, from 10:00am to 10:00pm, at Rove Downtown, get ready for a jam-packed schedule of excitement. With a long list of activities planned to keep people entertained, prepare for an awesome day filled with droids, dragons, and just about everything else.
For starters, an open-to-all Cosplay competition will be organised so dust off your costume and get ready to embody your favourite characters to win great prizes worth more than AED 5,000. There will even be a special 360 photo booth to capture your fantastic costumes in all their glory.
Additionally, attendees will be able to explore a treasure trove of Otaku collectables, comic books, and one-of-a-kind artworks displayed by various vendors and talented local artists. The hotel will be transformed into a geek’s paradise, offering unique items you won’t find anywhere else.
Rovers can also test their pop culture knowledge in an exhilarating quiz night hosted by Hobby Nation, and if video games or board games are what you’re after, then there is something for you as well! Dive into the competitive spirit with popular fighting game tournaments, dedicated Dungeons and Dragons challenges and other much-loved board games.
