Apple updates MagSafe charger firmware to version 2A143

Apple has released a firmware update for its 25W MagSafe Charger, bringing the version number to 2A143. This update applies to the MagSafe Charger compatible with iPhone 12 and later models, as well as the latest AirPods and Apple Watch models.

The updated firmware replaces the previous version, 2A138, which shipped with the accessory. While Apple has not provided specific details about the update’s contents, it likely includes performance improvements and bug fixes.

The 25W MagSafe Charger was introduced alongside the iPhone 16 models and can charge these devices at up to 25W. For earlier iPhone models, from the iPhone 12 to the iPhone 15, charging is limited to 15W.

Firmware updates for the MagSafe Charger are delivered wirelessly. To initiate the update, ensure your charger is plugged in and connected to a compatible Apple device. You can check your MagSafe Charger’s firmware version in the Settings app.
