While Tesla is still resisting the rollout of CarPlay to its cars, it’s now official, the Apple Podcasts app will be available on Tesla’s in-car entertainment system rolling out next week.
Podcasts app will be available for Model S, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck owners. The app is free, but it of course falls under the company’s Premium Connectivity subscription, which allows streaming via mobile connection.
Tesla owners will be able to find the Apple Podcasts app in their car’s App Launcher, and can follow the same process in place for Apple’s Music app by signing in through scanning a QR code on their iPhone to connect their Apple ID to the Tesla Podcasts app.
The app will include all the features available on the native iOS platform. Apple Podcasts on Tesla will be available in 47 countries and regions, in 14 languages.
