Apple has announced plans to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia, starting with the launch of an online store in the summer of 2025. This online store will offer customers across the country access to Apple’s full range of products and services, with support provided in Arabic for the first time.
Following the online store launch, Apple will open its first flagship retail stores in Saudi Arabia in 2026. These stores will provide customers with opportunities to connect with Apple’s team members, explore products and services, and receive personalized support. Apple is also planning an iconic retail store in Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This expansion builds upon Apple’s existing investments in Saudi Arabia, including the Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh, which opened in 2021. This academy provides training and resources for aspiring coders, designers, and entrepreneurs, empowering them to contribute to the country’s growing app economy.
Apple has also expanded its educational initiatives with the launch of the coed Apple Foundation Program, offering students opportunities to learn coding and app development with a focus on gaming.
The Saudi developer community has become a significant contributor to the country’s economic growth, with developers’ earnings increasing by over 1,750 percent since 2019.
Apple’s commitment to Saudi Arabia extends beyond retail and education. The company has invested over 10 billion SAR in Saudi companies over the past five years. Apple Pay is now available on the newly opened Riyadh metro, making it the first city in the Middle East to offer Express Mode for seamless and secure transit payments using iPhone or Apple Watch.
