Samsung is further investing in its sleep technology ecosystem with updates to both its Galaxy Ring wearable and the Samsung Health app. The company announced expanded size options for the Galaxy Ring, increased market availability, and new features in the Samsung Health app designed to provide users with more comprehensive sleep support.
Initially launched in July 2024, the Galaxy Ring is expanding its reach with the addition of two new sizes and availability in 15 new markets. The ring will now be offered in sizes ranging from 5 to 15, catering to a wider range of users. This expansion brings the total number of markets where the Galaxy Ring is available to 53, including key additions such as Japan, Singapore, and South Africa.
Complementing the Galaxy Ring’s expansion, Samsung is also introducing new features to its Health app focused on improving sleep quality. These features include:
- Sleep Environment Report: By integrating with SmartThings, Samsung Health can now analyze the user’s sleep environment, taking into account factors like temperature, humidity, and light levels. The app then provides a report with recommendations on how to optimize the sleep environment.
- Sleep Time Guidance: This feature offers personalized bedtime suggestions based on individual sleep patterns, habits, and daily routines.
- Mindfulness Tracker: A new Mindfulness tracker allows users to monitor their moods and access guided breathing exercises and meditations within the Samsung Health app.

These updates reinforce Samsung’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve sleep health. By expanding the availability and size range of the Galaxy Ring and introducing advanced sleep features in the Samsung Health app, Samsung aims to make its sleep technology accessible to a broader audience.
The new Galaxy Ring sizes will be available for purchase starting January 22nd. Customers can find their ideal size using a free sizing kit available on Samsung.com or by visiting a Samsung store.
