TL;DR: Faster than your ex’s replies post-breakup. Smarter than half your WhatsApp group. More efficient than your home’s AC unit. Sexier than your cousin’s 4Runner. And yes, it’s got a better sense of direction than your uncle trying to navigate to City Walk without Google Maps. Welcome to the Exeed ES REEV – in BEV, REEV PRO, and REEV ULTRA configurations – a lineup of electrified chariots engineered for the tech-obsessed, luxury-loving, eco-conscious, occasionally sarcastic commuter in all of us.

DESIGN – CYBER SLEEK MEETS CHIC

From the moment you first lay eyes on the Exeed ES, you realize this isn’t just another sleek sedan trying to grab your attention with overstyled creases and fake vents. No, the Exeed ES feels like a car that was sculpted in a wind tunnel by a team of designers who grew up watching sci-fi movies and now vacation in Zermatt. It exudes purpose and presence, with a silhouette that doesn’t just glide—it commands. The sheer scale of it is a giveaway. Nearly five meters long, close to two meters wide, and with a wheelbase of three meters, it has the visual mass and stance of a full-size luxury cruiser. The rear shoulders are broad and confident, the front fascia clean and minimal, and the gently sloping roofline tapers into a fastback tail that looks like it’s been lifted from a concept sketch.

You don’t just walk up to the Exeed ES—you approach it. The flush handles slide out like precision mechanical tools. The frameless doors open with a whisper. And if you’re driving the REEV ULTRA, your entrance is announced by a light show worthy of a tech expo. The LED strip across the front pulses in a rhythmic wave, the DRLs animate like synchronized dancers, and the rear light bar echoes it all with subtle flair. The ISD system on the ULTRA lets your car communicate using exterior lighting—warnings, greetings, maybe even a cheeky “move it” when you’re stuck behind someone dawdling on Al Wasl Road.

Color options are less Fast & Furious, more Aman Resort—deep midnight blue, snow pearl white, and obsidian black with a satin ceramic nano-coat that makes other cars look like they haven’t been detailed since Eid. And best of all, the aerodynamic efficiency backs up the aesthetic drama: a drag coefficient of just 0.205, better than a Tesla Model S and almost matching the Lucid Air. This isn’t design for design’s sake. It’s form that serves function, packaged with elegance and wrapped in confidence.

BUILD QUALITY – ASSEMBLED LIKE A GAMING RIG ON ULTRA SETTINGS

Forget everything you knew about “Chinese build quality.” This isn’t a budget car with shiny surfaces trying to trick you. This is a masterclass in fit, finish, and obsessive execution. Built on the state-of-the-art E0X platform, which was developed with help from Huawei and CATL, the Exeed ES doesn’t just meet benchmarks—it challenges them. The structure uses aerospace-grade aluminum, ultra-high-strength steel, and a modular layout that allows each variant—BEV, REEV PRO, and ULTRA—to offer its own personality without compromising integrity.

Shut the door and the sound is unmistakable: a deep, dampened thunk that signals tight tolerances and triple-seal engineering. The doors don’t just close—they nestle into place. Every panel gap is symmetrical. Every trim piece feels secure. Even the parts you don’t see, like the seat adjustment rails or the underside of the center console, look like they were assembled with pride.

The cabin materials? A tactile delight. Everywhere your hand goes, it’s greeted with softness, subtle textures, and attention to detail. The upper dash is finished in vegan suede with stitching that would look at home on a $10,000 handbag. The central tunnel is trimmed in brushed aluminum and real leather. The switches feel damped and expensive. And when the sun is blazing outside and you shut the door, the silence that follows is otherworldly. Double-laminated glass, acoustic insulation, and suspension bushings tuned to minimize noise mean that this is easily one of the quietest cabins under AED 300K.

INTERIOR – WHERE FUTURISTIC MEETS FIVE-STAR SPA

Getting into the Exeed ES isn’t just entering a car—it’s entering a sanctuary. The front seats, particularly in the ULTRA and BEV trims, are thrones of 10-layer quilted Nappa leather, contoured to hold you like a bespoke glove. The cushioning density has been tuned to balance support and plushness, while the side bolsters gently hug without pinching. These aren’t seats made for short test drives—they’re made for 500 km weekend getaways.

Ventilation and heating are standard across all trims, but the ULTRA takes it to another level with massage programs that cycle through lumbar, shoulder, and back treatments like a luxury spa menu. Adjustments? Eight-way power with memory presets, and even the steering wheel and exterior mirrors have memory linkage. Passenger seats are equally pampered, especially in ULTRA trim where they get four-way lumbar and ventilation too.

The cabin layout is driver-centric without feeling isolating. Twin 12.3-inch screens form the digital instrument cluster and co-pilot display, while a 15.6-inch center touchscreen anchors the dashboard with a layout that’s intuitive and beautifully rendered. The software is fast, fluid, and crash-free. Climate controls are available both physically and digitally, and the tri-zone automatic climate control in the ULTRA and BEV ensures everyone is comfortable—from the driver to your friend passed out in the back after iftar.

In the rear, luxury continues. The floor is completely flat, allowing for cross-legged comfort, while rear passengers get their own touch control panel for AC, sunshades, and ambient lighting. There are wireless chargers, USB-C ports, and even a rear screen to monitor trip details. The ambient lighting system is synchronized to drive modes and can pulse gently to your music. And yes, there’s a fragrance system, air ionizer, CN95 filter, and a built-in napping mode that reclines the seats and dims the lights. In short? You’ll start offering to drive your friends everywhere, just to spend more time inside.

EXTERIOR – WHEN FORM IS FUNCTION

Let’s talk presence. The Exeed ES doesn’t just show up—it arrives. While most EV sedans tend to blur into a sea of similarity, the Exeed ES exudes a sense of direction in its design, both literally and figuratively. Up front, the car makes a bold yet intelligent statement. The full-width matrix LED headlights aren’t just for illumination—they’re visual theatre. When you walk up to the vehicle, a programmed light sequence plays across the DRLs and ISD panels like it’s welcoming a VIP aboard. And in case you’re wondering—yes, the ISD system is smart enough to display alert patterns, directional messages, and even animated “greetings.”

Below the LED show, sleek air intakes and radar sensors are sculpted neatly into the lower bumper. There’s no faux grille drama here—just a clean, aerodynamic face that lets the 0.205 drag coefficient speak for itself. From the side, the 21-inch alloy wheels on the ULTRA and BEV models are turbine-inspired and wrapped in Michelin or Continental rubber, with run-flat capabilities for those days when your navigation insists on detouring through construction zones. The flush-mounted, sensor-activated door handles retract elegantly when locked and extend smoothly as you approach, giving you the subtle thrill of tech every single time.

Around back, the taillight design continues the futuristic theme with a blade-style strip spanning the entire rear, housing sequential indicators with a running-water effect in the ULTRA trim. A molded ducktail lip gives it aerodynamic finesse while hinting at performance underneath. The powered trunk opens to reveal a cavernous and meticulously finished cargo space with hooks, lights, and flat-folding capabilities. Add to that auto-folding, heated side mirrors with memory adjustment, automatic rain-sensing wipers, and even auto-dimming rimless interior mirrors, and the Exeed ES proves that form and function aren’t mutually exclusive—they’re soulmates.

PERFORMANCE – THE CHOICE OF CHAMPIONS (AND COMFORT LOVERS)

Here’s where things get deliciously complicated. The Exeed ES isn’t one car—it’s three identities sharing a philosophy. Each variant—BEV, REEV PRO, and REEV ULTRA—offers a distinct powertrain tailored for specific lifestyles, with zero compromise on refinement or ride quality.

Let’s begin with the BEV. This is the purist’s choice: a fully electric, dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup pushing out 353 kilowatts, which translates to a Tesla-taunting 472 horsepower. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 4.5 seconds, delivering its 634 Nm of torque instantly, without fuss, and without apology. The 82 kWh battery delivers up to 520 kilometers of real-world range under WLTC standards. Charging to 80% takes around 30 minutes on a DC fast charger—enough time for a coffee and a quick scroll through the latest memes.

The REEV PRO takes a different approach. It’s the long-distance road warrior’s dream: a rear-wheel-drive setup powered by a single electric motor with 195 kW (261 hp) and 324 Nm of torque. While it’s not going to win any drag races, its real magic lies in its staggering 1,325 km total range. How? By combining a 34 kWh battery with a highly efficient petrol generator that boasts 44.5% thermal efficiency—on par with cutting-edge power plants. You get 180 km of electric-only driving, and when that runs out, the generator kicks in seamlessly, converting fuel into electricity with the grace of a ballet dancer and the thriftiness of a khaleeji dad at a discount bin.

And then there’s the REEV ULTRA, the sweet spot in the middle. Dual motors. 345 kW of combined output. 660 Nm of torque. 0–100 in around 4.8 seconds. A 40 kWh battery gives you 150 km of pure EV range, and the onboard generator pushes the total range to 1,190 km. It’s the car you take when you want performance on a daily basis, comfort when cruising, and the safety of never having to worry about chargers when you decide to spontaneously drive to Salalah at 2 AM.

All trims feature multiple drive modes—Eco, Comfort, Sport, Snow, and Custom—adjusting throttle response, steering weight, suspension behavior (in the ULTRA), and regeneration intensity. Speaking of regen: the Exeed’s customizable braking lets you pick between traditional coasting and near one-pedal driving. It’s intuitive, efficient, and—best of all—it means you barely touch the brake pedal in traffic. The ride itself is cushy in Comfort mode, taut and eager in Sport, and utterly unfazed by potholes thanks to a suspension system that filters out even the roughest rumble strips. No joke, I drove it through a notorious construction zone near Expo City and emerged with my spine intact and coffee unspilled.

SOFTWARE & TECH – SMARTER THAN YOUR PHONE, COOLER THAN YOUR LAPTOP

The Exeed ES isn’t just a car—it’s a connected, rolling supercomputer with a sunroof. Every button, every display, every sound cue has been thought through not by a committee of accountants, but seemingly by gamers, engineers, and UX nerds. Start with the 15.6-inch central touchscreen: not just big for bragging rights, but properly responsive. It glides like a flagship tablet, reacts instantly to your inputs, and looks crisp enough to rival a Retina display. No lag, no pixelation, and no outdated interface from the early 2010s. Instead, you get animated transitions, voice-controlled everything, and settings that let you fine-tune not just your climate but your massage strength, fragrance intensity, and ambient lighting hue.

Pairing your phone takes less time than unlocking it. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are not just included—they work perfectly, without delay or disconnects. The sound system? Audiophile-level. The ULTRA and BEV trims get 23 speakers strategically placed throughout the cabin, transforming your drive into a private concert hall. Whether you’re bumping synthwave on a solo cruise down SZR or playing classical while chauffeuring the family to a Friday brunch, the audio fidelity is staggering. Clear highs, deep lows, and spatial clarity that makes most home soundbars feel embarrassed.

Driver displays are just as tricked out. Two 12.3-inch screens form the digital instrument cluster and co-pilot interface. They’re bright, reconfigurable, and cleanly animated. You can switch from map-centric views to performance metrics to minimalist modes that reduce clutter on long highway stints. If you opt for the ULTRA or BEV, you also get a head-up display that projects speed, nav instructions, and alerts right onto the windshield. It’s crisp, unobtrusive, and makes every other car feel instantly ancient.

But wait, there’s more. Exeed’s ADAS suite offers a driving experience that’s not just safe—it’s borderline sentient. Adaptive cruise control? Of course. Lane-keep assist? Sure. Auto lane change and traffic jam assist? Yes, and it works with surprising finesse. During one bumper-to-bumper stretch on Al Khail Road, I let the car handle the chaos, and it performed like a seasoned commuter—smooth merges, gentle braking, and none of the jerky weirdness that haunts other semi-autonomous systems. Auto park is available in ULTRA and BEV and works so smoothly you’ll start skipping valet just to show it off.

Safety tech includes an arsenal of features: 540-degree panoramic cameras with HD clarity that stitch together a perfect bird’s-eye view, TPMS with real-time pressure readouts, and a complete suite of airbags—including the fancy farside airbags in ULTRA trim. There’s facial recognition for unlocking and driver personalization, fatigue monitoring that actually knows when you’re zoning out, and even an emergency call system that activates automatically in a crash.

VERDICT – CHINESE LUXURY JUST CHANGED THE GAME

Let’s call it what it is: the Exeed ES isn’t just a car, it’s a declaration. A flex. A rolling rebuttal to everyone still stuck thinking luxury must come from Germany or America. With the BEV, REEV PRO, and REEV ULTRA trims, Exeed offers something rare—true choice. Whether you want guilt-free electric commuting, epic long-distance cruising, or punchy performance with intelligent drive modes, there’s a version tailored for you. And they all come drenched in tech, wrapped in luxury, and priced like someone at Exeed forgot to carry a zero.

This car doesn’t just compete with the usual suspects—it leapfrogs them. The build quality is astonishing. The tech is smarter. The comfort is surreal. The design is pure automotive eye candy. And perhaps most impressive, it manages to combine all of these strengths without slipping into gimmick territory. The Exeed ES doesn’t beg for your attention. It earns it. Through competence. Through consistency. Through character.

Starting at around AED AED 149,999 and topping out at AED AED 219,999, it delivers value that feels almost suspicious. You look around and ask, “What’s the catch?” And so far, I haven’t found one. It’s like Exeed pulled a reverse UNO card on the luxury car world—and did it with a grin.

So if you’re the kind of person who reads spec sheets for fun, tweaks drive modes like they’re RPG stats, and wants a cabin that feels more spa than sedan—then ya habibi, your car has arrived. It just happens to be built in China. And that, my friend, might be the biggest plot twist of all.
