Facebook is introducing a nifty new feature called Nearby Friends, which allows you to discover which friends are nearby and allows you to share your location with friends as well.
The odd thing about this – considering Facebook’s history – is that this feature is completely optional.
How this works is that you choose which friends to share this feature with and you’ll be notified of when they’re nearby, as well as notify them when you’re on the go. You can also share your precise location with a little text, as it is in WhatsApp.
