Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch date leaks—here’s what to expect

Samsung appears to be gearing up for the official reveal of the Galaxy S25 Edge, with a newly leaked poster pointing to a May 13, 2025 launch date. The information comes via reliable leaker Evan Blass, whose consistent track record gives weight to the timing and materials shared.

The leaked image, which uses the tagline “Beyond slim,” suggests a global announcement for the device, contradicting earlier reports that pointed to a staggered release. Previous speculation indicated a May 13 unveiling exclusive to South Korea, with international markets following a week later. However, the use of Italian language—“13 maggio 2025”—on the poster implies a coordinated global launch instead, potentially putting the phone in consumers’ hands sooner than initially expected.

Samsung hasn’t kept the S25 Edge completely under wraps. The company has already previewed the device’s design at multiple events, and unofficial details have continued to circulate widely. Based on those reports, the Galaxy S25 Edge will be among Samsung’s thinnest smartphones to date, with a profile measuring just 5.8mm (excluding the camera bump). It’s expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and will be powered by Qualcomm’s overclocked Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the same silicon used across the Galaxy S25 series.

In terms of hardware trade-offs, the Edge model will likely forego a third camera, dropping the telephoto lens in favor of a dual-camera setup. The main sensor is expected to be Samsung’s 200MP primary camera, continuing the brand’s emphasis on high-resolution imaging. Battery capacity will also take a hit in pursuit of the thinner form factor, reportedly smaller than even the base S25 model.

While these choices position the Galaxy S25 Edge as a premium-looking phone, it also seems to prioritize sleek aesthetics over all-around feature depth. Users who value minimalism and design might find the Edge appealing, though power users may miss the extra camera and larger battery.

With May 13 fast approaching and more leaks likely on the way, we can expect full confirmation soon—whether Samsung intends this to be a global launch or still plans a phased rollout.
