Logitech has introduced the Mobi Fold, a foldable mouse aimed at mobile professionals who frequently work in airports, cafés, hotel lobbies, and other transient spaces where a laptop trackpad often falls short. The device addresses a common pain point: while many people own a traditional mouse, few carry one regularly due to bulk and inconvenience. According to Logitech’s own briefing data, 72 percent of professionals working in public areas own a mouse, yet only 26 percent actually use one on the move.
The Mobi Fold weighs 79 grams and collapses into a compact, pocketable form before unfolding into a fixed ergonomic shape. It does not flatten completely or offer adjustable angles; instead, the design locks into a predetermined position based on user studies. Logitech claims this setup can reduce muscle strain by 22 percent compared with prolonged trackpad use, though real-world results will vary depending on individual posture and work habits. The hinge is engineered for durability, with testing suggesting it can handle 15 years of daily folding, equivalent to around 50,000 cycles. A dust-resistant silicone sleeve and drop protection add to its travel credentials.
Operation feels straightforward. Opening the mouse powers it on automatically, while folding it shuts it down to conserve energy. An on-device AI model attempts to prevent accidental clicks during the transition. For productivity, it offers adaptive touch scrolling that shifts between precise line-by-line movement and faster document navigation. Two touch-panel buttons are customizable through the Logi Options+ app, allowing shortcuts for tasks like app switching or screenshots. Connectivity covers up to three devices via Bluetooth, with support for Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android, iPadOS, and Linux. It is also the company’s first Fast Pair-certified input device

Battery performance looks practical for extended use. Logitech rates it for up to 30 days on a full charge, with a one-minute USB-C top-up delivering roughly 22 hours. Quiet clicks and a relatively slim profile when open (122 x 57 x 33 mm) make it suitable for shared workspaces. A business-oriented version adds a Logi Bolt USB-C receiver, IT management features via Sync, enterprise-grade security, and a two-year warranty for an extra $10.
Priced at $79.99 for the standard model, the Mobi Fold sits in a competitive segment of portable peripherals. Foldable designs have appeared in keyboards and other gadgets over the years, promising better portability, yet they often introduce compromises in build quality or ergonomics. Here, the fixed angle may limit appeal for users who prefer fine-tuning, while the reliance on Bluetooth could raise minor concerns in environments with heavy wireless interference, though the business variant mitigates some of that. Sustainability elements include post-consumer recycled plastics and FSC-certified packaging, which align with broader industry shifts but remain incremental rather than transformative.
For frequent travelers and hybrid workers, the Mobi Fold offers a thoughtful solution to the trade-off between comfort and convenience in mobile computing. Its real test will come in daily reliability across varied surfaces and long-term hinge performance. Availability began June 10 in Graphite, with other colors in select markets, initially through Logitech’s site and select channels.
