Honor of Kings is celebrating its anniversary with a new hero, a heritage-themed skin and two weeks of login rewards. Most of the free rewards are cosmetic or currency-based, while the most valuable items are tied to daily activity or paid draws.
The new hero is Dunshan, a Tank/Support who turns into a shield to protect teammates and reduce the damage they take. Players who joined the October 15 pre-launch event get him free from today. Everyone else can buy him for 13,888 Starstones or 588 Tokens, and the Token price drops to 294 during his first week. Protective supports are often a hard sell in solo queue, where players prefer damage roles, so it will be worth watching how often Dunshan is actually picked.
The most interesting reward is Millennium Tower Dunshan, a collaboration skin based on the Wooden Pagoda of Yingxian County in China’s Shanxi Province. The pagoda was built in 1056 and is the world’s oldest and tallest surviving multi-storey wooden structure. Honor of Kings has used Chinese cultural heritage in its designs before, and this is one of its more unusual choices.
Earning the skin takes daily effort. Players collect standees by logging in, playing matches and sharing with friends, then merge their two highest-scoring standees once a day to earn points. All standees are wiped at the daily reset, so a missed merge means lost progress. The skin can be redeemed from the points shop starting October 29.
The free rewards are easier to get. Logging in cumulatively between October 21 and November 5 unlocks an anniversary voice pack recorded by creators. Logging in on October 24 or 25 gives 400 Honor Points, an Anniversary Flowborn outfit and an avatar frame pack. Players who received last year’s Decade of Promise pack can open it from October 24 to November 4 for 400 to 2,000 Honor Points and a random Epic or Legend skin. Players without one can get a share code from a friend for a guaranteed 400 points.
LIMBO Wish returns on October 30 with a new Gao Changgong skin. Players flip tiles on a board using Lucky Draw Vouchers, with a Rare skin guaranteed within 10 flips, a new Epic within 20, and Legend skins at the 30th and 36th flips. Free vouchers from missions only reach the Rare skin, so the top rewards require spending. A farming minigame launches the same day, with crops, friend visits and a Halloween-themed outfit.
Tencent says Honor of Kings titles passed 260 million combined monthly users in 2025. With numbers like that, the anniversary is less about winning players back and more about keeping them logging in every day.
