For those who use twitter web, a new feature will roll out to users allowing them the option to view notifications from tweets, mentions, and direct messages to be sent to their desktop. Along with the revamp of the interface, I suspect they’re trying to push people to ditch other clients and opt for the web experience.
Extensions for google chrome that do just that (and for Facebook) have been around for a while, but it’s nice to see twitter integrating this option by default.
