In the past few days, news about Netflix coming to the Middle East resurfaced again as IGN Middle East noted some job listings targeting Europe and the Middle East, specifically asking for candidates with regional experience.
The news – published earlier this week on Wednesday – was updated with a confirmation from Netflix to IGN on their expansion plans in this region.
Update: Netflix has confirmed they will be launching in the Middle East soon. In an email to IGN ME, Netflix’s Joris Evers said, We plan to complete our global expansion by the end of 2016. Of course the Middle East is part of that, hence our hiring.
Consumers in the region can look forward to their own Netflix without having to use VPN, although we aren’t sure that all the content will make it here, depending on royalties.
