TikTok is celebrating the positive impact its creators have on the world by launching the TikTok Change Makers Program, a global initiative highlighting individuals and non-profits making a difference in their communities. This six-month program will provide resources and support to help these change makers expand their reach and impact.
The inaugural list of 50 global TikTok Change Makers includes four inspiring individuals from the MENA region:
- Abdullah Al-Alawi, a dentist from KSA, shares his passion for health and wellness through engaging and informative content.
- Dr. Jana Bou Reslan, a UAE-based lecturer and coach, promotes self-confidence and positive change.
- Abdullah Annan, known as “The Arab Science Guy,” simplifies complex scientific concepts for his Egyptian audience.
- Mai Gamal, a certified nutritionist in Egypt, encourages a balanced and healthy approach to nutrition.
In addition, TikTok is launching the Change Makers Grant, donating over $1 million to 30+ global and local non-profit organizations. Each Change Maker’s chosen cause will receive a $25,000 donation in their honor.
This program aims to showcase the diverse voices on TikTok and the power of creative expression to drive positive change. Users are encouraged to learn more about the Change Makers, join the movement using #TikTokforGood, and explore inspiring content on their local content hub.
