Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra renders leaked, and they look a tad familiar

The rumor mill is churning once again with the latest leak showcasing renders of Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. These images, coming hot on the heels of a previous leak, suggest a design shift that borrows cues from both the Pixel 9 and the iPhone 16.

A New Look for Samsung?

The most striking change appears to be the adoption of flatter sides and more rounded corners, giving the S25 Ultra a sleeker, more modern look. This departure from the curved edges of its predecessors aligns with the recent design trends seen in both Google’s Pixel 9 and Apple’s iPhone 16.

While these renders hint at a significant aesthetic overhaul, the internal specs seem less revolutionary. Reports indicate that the S25 Ultra will likely retain the same camera setup as its predecessor, with the exception of an upgraded ultrawide lens. The battery is also expected to remain at 5,000 mAh, a capacity that has become standard for Samsung’s Ultra line in recent years.

Under the hood, the S25 Ultra is rumored to feature the yet-to-be-announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, potentially bringing a boost in performance and power efficiency. It’s also safe to assume that Samsung will leverage this new hardware to introduce a slew of AI-powered features.

Perhaps most intriguingly, the leaked renders suggest the S25 Ultra could be significantly lighter than its predecessor.Weighing in at a rumored 219g, it would be noticeably lighter than the S24 Ultra (232g) and even the recently launched iPhone 16 Pro Max (227g).

Conflicting Reports and a Dose of Caution

It’s important to remember that these are just renders based on leaked information, and the final product may differ. In fact, there’s already some disagreement among leakers. Ice Universe, the source of the earlier S25 Ultra renders, has pointed out discrepancies in OnLeaks’ images, claiming errors in the depiction of the bezels and metal framing. The rear camera design is also under scrutiny, with Ice Universe suggesting that OnLeaks’ interpretation may be inaccurate.

Further adding to the uncertainty, the renders lack details like an S-Pen slot and SIM card tray, elements that are almost certainly present in the final device.

As with any leak, it’s wise to approach these renders with a healthy dose of skepticism. While they offer an exciting glimpse into what Samsung might have in store for us, the full picture will only be revealed when the Galaxy S25 Ultra officially launches, likely in early 2025. Until then, let the speculation and anticipation continue.
