Samsung recently announced the Galaxy Watch FE, essentially a rebranded Galaxy Watch4. Additionally, the company is preparing to launch several new Galaxy products at the upcoming Unpacked event in Paris next month. Expected releases include the Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Watch7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Buds3 series, and the much-anticipated Galaxy Ring.
A few weeks ago, mosaic promo images of the products expected at the event were leaked, hinting at the imminent launch of the Galaxy Ring. The FCC listing for the Galaxy Ring has also revealed significant information about this health-tracking wearable.
The Galaxy Ring is speculated to come in sizes ranging from 5 to 12. The ring sizes 5, 6, and 7 are expected to have a 17mAh battery, while the larger sizes 8, 9, 10, and 11 will feature an 18.5mAh battery. Notably, the size 12 ring will come with a 22.5mAh battery.
Despite the leak regarding the Galaxy Ring’s battery capacities, the charging method remained unknown. However, trusted leaker IceUniverse on Weibo has now shared an image of the alleged charging case for the Galaxy Ring, indicating that Samsung may have opted for an earbud-like charging case for this health-tracking device.
The image shows a plastic case with the Samsung logo embossed on the front and a raised section in the middle to hold the ring in place. The charging pins on the Galaxy Ring likely align with the two lines visible on the charging case to recharge the battery.
RingConn also uses a similar type of charging case for its smart ring. Although there’s no official information yet, it would be beneficial if the charging case had a battery of its own, allowing users to charge their rings on the go, similar to earbuds.
