Google is expected to unveil its Pixel 10 lineup at a Made by Google event scheduled for August 13, with retail availability reportedly following on August 20. The new range of flagship smartphones is said to include four models: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and a refreshed Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
According to early reports, the design language of the Pixel 10 phones will remain largely consistent with last year’s Pixel 9 series. Hardware updates appear incremental rather than transformative, with the focus shifting toward internal performance and AI-driven enhancements.
One notable change is anticipated for the base Pixel 10 model, which may gain a telephoto lens for the first time, bringing it closer to the capabilities of its Pro counterparts. However, early information suggests there may be compromises in overall image quality compared to the higher-end variants.
For the Pro and Fold models, physical design and camera hardware are expected to stay relatively unchanged from the Pixel 9 generation. Instead, the main upgrade across the board appears to be the debut of the Tensor G5 chip. This next-generation processor is reportedly built with AI-first performance in mind, aiming to deliver more responsive on-device processing, improved efficiency, and tighter integration with Google’s expanding suite of AI features.
In addition to the new phones, Google is also anticipated to introduce the Pixel Watch 4 at the same event. Early renders suggest a thicker case design, possibly to accommodate a larger battery. Modifications to the charging system and the addition of new physical buttons hint at both functional and aesthetic adjustments. The watch is also expected to ship with Google’s Gemini AI assistant preloaded, marking its smartwatch debut.
All Pixel 10 devices are likely to ship with Android 15 and showcase Google’s Material 3 Expressive design system, which continues the company’s trend toward more dynamic and colorful user interfaces across its hardware ecosystem.
While last year’s Pixel 9 launch followed the same August 13 announcement date, the rollout was staggered, particularly for the Pro Fold. This year, Google may opt for a tighter release schedule, bringing all four Pixel 10 devices to market within the same launch window.
