Google’s expanding the reach of its Gemini AI! Originally limited to Android 12+, Gemini can now answer your complex questions even if you’re rocking Android 10 or later. That means devices like the Galaxy S9 series are officially in the loop.
On these older phones, you can even swap out your standard Google Assistant for Gemini! While a bit rough at first, this AI-powered upgrade is getting better at handling everyday tasks.
Google’s keeping older Android users connected – after all, they only ended support for Android 4.4 KitKat (a whopping 11 years old!) last year. Android 10’s massive 2019 reach, especially on budget devices, makes sense for Google to target.
