This innovative feature, previously in testing and part of Workspace Labs, promises to revolutionize how you create lists within the popular note-taking app.
By simply providing a brief prompt, such as “write a grocery list of ingredients for healthy dinners,” users can now leverage the power of generative AI to effortlessly populate a comprehensive list. The AI goes beyond a simple list, suggesting items across various categories like lean protein, vegetables, and whole grains, ensuring a well-rounded and nutritious meal plan.
Once generated, the list can be recreated if needed or seamlessly integrated into a new note for further customization. The feature automatically formats the list, saving users valuable time and effort. While Google Keep doesn’t explicitly indicate if a list was AI-generated, its efficiency and intelligent suggestions make it a valuable tool for users of all levels.

While the feature is being rolled out to all Android devices, those on non-Pixel phones will need a Google One AI Premium subscription or Workspace Labs access to enjoy this functionality. A slightly newer version of the app (v2.24.332.02.90) introduces a settings toggle to disable the AI feature, providing users with more control over their experience. However, this newer version is not required to utilize the “Help me create a list” functionality, ensuring that most Android users with the latest version of Keep can immediately benefit from this AI-powered upgrade.
