Circle to Search was first announced at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, where it was revealed that it would debut on the Galaxy S24 series. However, Google also said that it would be coming to Pixel phones eventually, without specifying a release date. The company has now released the feature to Pixel 8 users.
Circle to Search is a new AI tool that allows users to search for items on their screens. Instead of having to take a screenshot or leave the app to search, users can simply circle items on their screens. This means that if you see something in a video that catches your attention, you can highlight it and Google will search for it for you.
In addition to Circle to Search, the Pixel Feature Drop also brings Magic Compose out of beta and makes it available to all Pixel 8 users. Google’s Photomoji tool is also rolling out on a wider scale. If you’re a Pixel 8 user, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for this update.
