YouTube is stepping into the mobile gaming arena with “Playables,” a collection of free, bite-sized games now available directly in the YouTube app for iPhone and iPad. No need to venture into the App Store – you can dive into over 75 fun and addictive games like Angry Birds Showdown and Cut the Rope right on YouTube’s platform.

Forget about epic quests and hours-long campaigns; YouTube’s Playables are all about quick bursts of entertainment.Perfect for those moments when you need a little distraction or a fun break. Your progress is saved, so you can always pick up where you left off and chase those high scores.

Previously tested with a select few, Playables are now ready for the world to enjoy! Simply head to the Explore menu in your YouTube app, and the Playables section is waiting to unleash your inner gamer.

YouTube isn’t the only one blurring the lines between entertainment and gaming. Netflix and The New York Times have also hopped on the bandwagon, offering their own in-app games. It seems like everyone wants a piece of the gaming action these days!
