du Tech has joined Make it in the Emirates 2026 as strategic partner of the event’s Intelligence Hub. The partnership gives the telecom and digital services provider a prominent platform to demonstrate AI and digital infrastructure solutions aimed at supporting the UAE’s manufacturing and industrial goals.
The four-day event, running from May 4 to 7 at ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, brings together government officials, industry executives, and international stakeholders focused on advancing local production capabilities. As partner of the Intelligence Hub, du Tech will host an invitation-only showcase featuring interactive displays of its industrial AI tools. These include systems for manufacturing optimisation, asset management, quality control, and energy and utilities oversight. The demonstrations will highlight practical applications such as predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and operational efficiency improvements.
Jasim Al Awadi, Chief ICT Officer at du, described the event as a meeting point between national priorities and technological development. The company plans to present sovereign cloud infrastructure alongside AI capabilities, emphasising locally hosted solutions that align with the UAE’s interest in technological self-reliance and data security for critical industrial operations.
This participation fits within the UAE’s broader push toward Industry 4.0. The country has set ambitious targets for expanding advanced manufacturing, reducing reliance on imports, and integrating digital technologies across sectors. Events like Make it in the Emirates serve as key venues for technology providers to engage directly with decision-makers. For du Tech, the Intelligence Hub offers an opportunity to show how AI can address common manufacturing challenges, from supply chain visibility to cost reduction and productivity gains. Real-world results in these areas remain essential, as many industrial AI projects still face hurdles in integration, workforce adaptation, and measurable return on investment.
du operates as a major digital services provider in the UAE, offering connectivity, cloud, and analytics solutions. Its industrial focus builds on existing strengths in 5G, IoT, and data infrastructure. Sovereign cloud offerings, in particular, respond to growing demand for secure, locally controlled environments in sensitive sectors. However, success in industrial transformation depends on more than technology demonstrations. Factors such as interoperability with legacy systems, skills development, and clear cost-benefit analysis often determine long-term adoption rates.
The partnership underscores the increasing role of local telecom players in the UAE’s economic diversification strategy. While AI-driven tools hold clear potential for modernising manufacturing, their impact will ultimately be judged by practical outcomes rather than promotional claims. Make it in the Emirates 2026 provides a useful setting to evaluate current capabilities and discuss realistic pathways for implementation across Emirati industries.
