London-based tech innovator, Nothing, is making waves with a double dose of smartphone excitement. CEO Carl Pei recently dropped the bombshell that the highly anticipated Nothing Phone 3 will be the company’s first to embrace AI features, promising a smarter, more intuitive user experience. However, fans will need to exercise patience, as the Phone 3 won’t hit the market until 2025.

But wait, there’s more! Nothing is also teasing a mysterious new device under its sub-brand, CMF. Initial glimpses hint at a customizable smartphone with interchangeable back covers, a unique lock system dubbed “Nothing Lock,” and a curious knob that’s got everyone guessing. While the exact function of this knob remains a secret, it’s sparking imaginations and adding a touch of intrigue to the upcoming CMF Phone 1.

Two teaser images have fueled the hype train. The first showcased a sleek black device with a prominent screw, while the second unveiled an orange back cover with a different texture and the enigmatic knob. This playful reveal highlights the customizable nature of the CMF Phone 1, inviting users to personalize their device.

Introducing CMF Phone 1. Wonderful by design.

Leveraging @nothing's innovation and meticulous attention to design, it serves as a wonderful entry point to our entire product ecosystem.

As others overlook this category, we're giving it our full attention.

As the anticipation builds, we can expect more tantalizing teasers from Nothing, potentially offering glimpses of the top corners and culminating in a full reveal of the CMF Phone 1. With an estimated price tag of around $240, this could be a game-changer in the affordable smartphone market. Stay tuned for more updates as Nothing continues to redefine the mobile landscape.
