Apple now lets you customize wallpapers featuring its logo: here’s how it works

Apple has quietly introduced a simple but fun way to customize your own wallpaper featuring the iconic Apple logo — no software download required. As part of its recent launch of the Apple Online Store in Saudi Arabia, the company rolled out a small collection of downloadable wallpapers that users can tailor by mixing and matching background and logo colors.

There are five background options — purple, pink, yellow, green, and blue — and five logo variants in corresponding hues. Once selected, users can download the resulting combination in various resolutions suited for iPhone, iPad, or Mac devices.

While the customization options are limited, this marks the first time Apple has officially allowed users to create branded wallpapers using its logo, rather than simply releasing pre-designed ones tied to product events or store openings. For now, the process is handled through the Apple website, not through any built-in tools or Apple Intelligence features, such as the Image Playground app. There’s no word on whether that might change in the future, but it would be a logical step if Apple intends to expand personalization tools under its AI initiatives.

The wallpaper generator doesn’t include advanced custom tools or animation — it’s a straightforward color-matching system. But for fans of Apple aesthetics or those looking for a fresh lock screen without relying on third-party apps, it’s a small but welcome addition.

Although this feature is currently tied to the Saudi Arabia store launch, the wallpapers themselves are available globally and can be accessed regardless of your location.

Whether this is a one-off celebration or a preview of more user-facing customization features to come, it reflects a broader trend at Apple: giving users a bit more creative agency within the brand’s famously curated ecosystem.
